Hello you die-hards who, like me, haven't abondoned gw1!

Just to introduce myself; I've played the game for years on my monk, before
I took a break. Then EotN was announced and I fell in love with gw once more.
After many more happy hours of playing, I had to take another break to get real life things done. But, as I feared, this game kept calling my name.
A month ago I started to play my super awsome monk again.
Sadly, our class has become a victim of many updates. Those updates made us useless, almost forgotten. Luckily, I fell in love with our class once again.

You see, imho, gw1's greatest feature is the 2nd profession mechanic. It is unique and one of the main reasons why this game is as epic as it is.

You see, using AP has allowed me to reinvent my profession once again.
Remember how a few years ago, when you zoned into any mission outpost, people got so excited to get a monk into their party? And after healing your team like a mad man while they went out and about doing crazy pulls and dps'ing carelessly. Monks used to be the cornerstone of any pug, pulling the team through any task.

You can play like that again! Feel the adrenalin flowing as you keep those Hp bars filled!

Seriously, taking AP allows you to be a dedicated healer! I can spam seed of life and aegis, spirit bond + protective spirit on my BiP battery, SoH on a melee hero. The possibilities are endless.

This elite skill adds so much utility to the Monk class, you can make this game as challenging and fun as you want. Sure you can bring a ST rit and cast EVAS non stop. You'll roll through anything. But you can always be that excellent healer who makes the difference between failure and succes!

This post is for any inexperienced monk who has trouble making their way through the campaigns, but also for those experienced monks who want the challenge back and conquer their foes like its 2008! Heal style.

This build has been known and stored on pvx for at least 3 years now, though as a prot version because aegis and seed of life have a much better synergy with AP. The game's been out for 7 years, so everything is well known by now. I advise giving gw2 a shot, you could teach lots of ppl new things over there

I would use a Monk elite instead as AP takes that place.
